Project Summary
This project focuses on storytelling through typography. Students were required to create a typeface based off of an existing character of a film or novel. In addition to this, an editorial piece had to be created to promote the launch of the typeface.

Design Strategy
The following typeface is inspired by the 2013 horror film, Carrie, directed by Kimberly Peirce. The film is based off of a Stephen King novel (1976), by the same name, and follows the story of a teenaged girl, bullied and friendless, who takes revenge on her fellow classmates. An editorial piece, along with the typeface, was created and takes the form of a yearbook.
This project is a redo since the first version was insufficient. The poster was improved by creating a more balanced layout. The editorial was improved by refining the colour palette as well as creating a more visually appealing layout.
