Jagdalpur
This October I went to visit my parents in Jagdalpur where my father is currently working. This place is known for its communal activism.
There I visited a temple named Dewada Shiv Mandir and got to know that it is being ran by leprosy patients. The patients live off of rice and money that is offered to them by the visitors of the temple and in return for their offerings they play their tribal music for the visitors. Located on the Odisha- Chattisgarh border, these places might have been barged out by many government officials due to communal activities but these people have found their own path to survival. It might be a blessing from some sort of entity for them to still be alive. There are so many tribes around there and nomenclating them for political agenda seems like the death of reality
