Indoor Eden is a printed and digital newsletter focused on the ins and outs of gardening indoors. Its content is ideal for people who live in urban environments, people who live in apartments or people who suffer from agoraphobia but still want to cultivate life. Created at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, I wanted this publication to feel like a breath of fresh air with its use of negative space and green imagery.
This issue of Indoor Eden focuses on terrariums, a glass container housing soil and plants that has its own ecosystem. When put together correctly, a terrarium has its own ecosystem and is largely self-sustainable.
All terrariums in this newsletter were assembled and then photographed by me, and all illustrations were also created by me.
The print version of Indoor Eden won first place in Santa Fe College's 2020 Juried Student Exhibition for Publication Design.
For my eNewsletter, I focused on really driving home minimalism while maintaining an appropriate level of content. I had a lot of fun playing with subtle but effective animations in InDesign.
