The concept of valorization applied to the safeguard and managment of archeological patrimony is the underlying theme that animates the design competition, that takes as its object the archeological area of Villa Adriana at Tivoli.

These two consolidated directions originate the competition program with reference to a few of the important monuments of Villa Adriana and their contexts: the so called Teatro Greco, the Tempio di Venere Cnidia, and the Grandi Terme. In these areas at the participants where asked to confront the following issues:

●    The Grand Museum of Villa Adriana. This deals with the musealization, organization and rehabilitation of all the above mentioned areas, with particular intensificaiton of the exhibition issues in at least one of these areas.

● The Third Theater of Villa Adriana. Interpretation and re-design of the so called Third Theater of Villa Adriana (a building present in the iconographic history but perhaps that never existed) that will be designed and equiped for a) a theatrical piece, b) convention activity, c) study and research.

● Graphic Design for Villa Adriana. It consists of a design for visual communication and coordinated imaging.
