To establish a connection with their Silicon Valley clientele, Advanced Energy, a cutting-edge power supply company, sought to create an impressive office space that showcases their technological capabilities. Upon entering the office, visitors are greeted by a prominent logo wall, a global cork map adorned with illuminated pins representing office locations, and inviting lounge seating, setting the stage for an innovative work environment. The shared collaborative office and lab space brings together teams from Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Support. A versatile cafe area can be transformed into a conference room with movable walls, extending to a landscaped patio. This flexible space offers the perfect setting for hosting various events, parties, and all-hands meetings. The new showcase office embodies the forward-thinking ethos of Advanced Energy.
Scope Summary
The project encompassed a 26,000 square foot area, featuring a range of new facilities including open-office space, conference rooms, a cafe, lobby lounge, display lab, testing labs, fitness room, and industrial storage areas. The employees are divided into two groups: 50% are desk-based engineers while the other 50% actively engage in equipment and software testing and troubleshooting. The company's brand is prominently displayed through room signage, emphasizing its presence throughout the space. In addition, wall graphics were designed as part of the project, laying the groundwork for future phased implementation. These graphics were provided to the client as a kit-of-parts. DLR Group contributed to the project through their expertise in interior design and experiential graphic design.
