This design is based in three of my favorite "bad movie, good monster" movies produced by American International pictures. I wanted to do some print design linking the decay of the main monster to our daily working rhythm.

I always try to enjoy all the process of a project, and when I do this kind of stuff I re-watch the movies and search lots of images as background documentation.

Some pencil, inks and color process. For the coloring part I usually put some flat colors than can match with the retro style that I want. Later I use the half-tone filter effect in some colors leaving the lighting ones untouched. The final touch is added with some old paper texture, playing also with the opacity of some layers.

This kind of fast designs are very useful in clothing prints and other stuff. From a single drawing you can create a an alternate composition or a pattern and adapt it to a great variety of products.
