This project was a simple overhaul of the Vistaprint home page by way of creating a system that will bring cohesion, but can be used for all sorts of types of promotional and brand communications.

In the beginning, the home page just had one main hero at the top of the page that acted as our primary promotional zone, with product tiles and some smaller banners as one would scroll/swipe. Over time the needs of the business developed and we were seeing the need to have more larger banner zones throughout the page to highlight different promotions and messaging. 

This situation proved to be tricky as my people were contributing all at once, and there was no guidance or visibility into what the each designer was doing, where the graphics would end up on the page, and how it would all work together. As you might guess this led to an increasingly cluttered experience.

Working with my art director and a designer who works on marketing campaigns regularly, I was able to clean up the home page by developing a clean, simple, flexible, and elegant banner template in conjunction with a few accompanying rules for use that provided clarity for designers.

The banner template comes with handy spacers and type guidelines to keep help designers keep everything consistent.
