This is done for semester 8 school assignment on April 2013. The task is to come up with a CD Packaging. Since it is OK to come up with an original band name, I came up with a band from Indonesia. "Selamat Pagi" is a band title I created originally for this project. All of the songs in their albums are in Indonesian language :
Band name = "Selamat Pagi", which means "Good Morning" in Indonesia.
Album title = "Berangkat" which means "Going" in Indonesia.
Band characteristic = two guitars, Indonesian language, accoustic style.
Album characteristic = cheerful poetry lyrics (poets are really popular in Indonesia during 1980 –1990)
The personality of both members are fun and silly,so I depict them in 2 anthro characters : rooster and duck, plus I’m also adding innocent expression on both faces. In biological term, rooster and duck are from the same class which is Aves, so they have a lot of similarities, yet they are difference.
For this project, I designed 4 items : digipak, CD label, lyric booklet, and badges. The idea of the eggbox packaging is simply because both rooster and duck lay eggs.
