This is semester 4 project for Typography module. This is done on November 2011. The task was to design a book that explain a particular typeface. The typeface that I chose was Gill Sans (I am a big fan of Gill Sans!).
The book is in square shape with side size 17cm x 17cm. Color mood is retro.
For this project, I experimented a little bit with the paper. I soaked the watercolor paper with coffee (yes, you heard it right, coffee!) to obtain the vintage look.
For the content concept, I wanted it to look interesting, so I played with the layout to create cheerful feeling. In each page, I cut out rectangular holes to show the chapter title.
The chapter title can be read in each page through the rectangular cut-out.
For example, this is the chapter of "Gill Sans' founder".
This is the chapter of "Gill Sans & Fonts"
