About "花蓮好事集" Hualien Farmers Market
"花蓮好事集" is a farmers market, located in Hualien, a county on the east coast of Taiwan. Apart from selling local products, "花蓮好事集" includes varied activities like workshops, performances and forums, which attracts many tourists annually to experience different aspects of Hualien.

Design
This year the event spotlights with a retro toys themed activity station race, featuring series of DIYs, games and toys from the 60s. In view of the event's TA are Taiwan's general public, my initial outlook was to create some eye-catching but approachable visual components, that can directly remind TA of these familiar toys from childhood, as well as have the flexibility to form combinations correspondingly to different use case.
The visual style was inspired by vintage toy packages, which only have limited but very noisy colors printed on gray cardboard with misregistered ink, speckled and screened halftone texture.
