Grove Aloha - Identity
OPPORTUNITY
Create a logo for an event welcoming all college students back to school.
SOLUTION
The client for this project was The Grove, a company that builds apartment complexes specifically made for college students. They pride themselves on creating a unique experience that is focused on giving the students a perfect place to live while they attend school. The logo that was made was to be fun and energetic while maintaining a Hawaiian theme. The event was a pool party for students coming back to school after summer vacation.
The concept for this project was to use something recognizably Hawaiian while still being able to work in black and white. The type chosen was inspired by flowing waves and the symbol chosen is a simplified hibiscus flower.
Pieces that were made to accompany the logo included banners and t-shirts.
