I'm interested in how humans interact with the world. All my personal photography revolves around nature and how humans interact with that world. I am from upper Midwest so road salt is a common safety measure during the winter months. If you don't put it down the possibility of slipping and falling on ice is a real possibility. And the road salt has started to creep into our natural water system and salinate our freshwater here in Minnesota. So the question really comes down to how can we as humans balance are need for safety with the protection of the natural world.

This project looks at how roads all is left behind after a cold winter day in Minnesota and have some thing that I find beautiful can be dangerous to the overall health of our natural world.
