Black Lives Matter in Paris

Black Lives Matter in Paris.
Sparked by the death of African-American George Floyd on May 25, the protests that took place in June in Paris were, in part, protesting the lack of justice in the death of Adama Traore, a Malian-French Man who died in police custody after being restrained and apprehended in July 2016. The multi-day protests, which took place at the Tribunal de Paris courthouse, the Champs de Mars, and Place de la Republique, were all met with police in riot gear, and their unrelenting willingness to use tear gas upon the people.
