3 Collages incorporating Olivia's umbrella

For this part of the project, I went through a large amount of magazine searching for images that remind me of rain and water in general. I feel as though water is the main commonality between an umbrella and a french press. 

In this first one, the pose of the lady in the fluffy dress reminds me of when there is no rain expected and it starts raining after a hot summer day. Adding the socks with clouds on them adds the other side of the coin, staying in and listening to the rain. 

This second one is my personal favorite. I enjoy the almost monochromatic look with accent colors here and there. 

To me the message "the storm just hit and... 

... we need e d it." is a powerful one. Especially since to me it hits home. Growing up, Barcelona had a couple of serious droughts, which is why we were always thankful for rain.

I always try to incorporate something positive in my projects, so this is it for this one. The female on the side shows how frizzy my hair gets when it is raining. Flowers grow with rain, plants grow with rain, and clouds produce rain. 

"This is a message of HOPE" is my hopeful thinking coming through in the project, while the world is falling apart around us. (Not trying to sound apocalyptical, it just feels like everything is uncertain, im fine haha).

All in all, exploring further into Olivia's umbrella and my french press, and how these can continue to collaborate will be inspired by the need of water, and the life this brings [through rain or energizing coffee]. 

What worked here is the high contrast and the small amount of type, making the images more comprehendible.
