Report: National Security Task Force Report

This is a comprehensive project for the Republican Study Committee's Task Force on National Security that includes: a digital + printed report, data visualization, graphics, as well as a packaged communications kit (messaging points and social media graphics) for congressional offices.

The visual tone reflects the topic's seriousness—a patriotic color pallet of red and blue coupled with duotone neutrals that reflect a nostalgic Americana design. Baskerville is the primary font inspired by founding documents. It is used primarily in italics and all-caps form to invoke a stately presence like those in the Declaration of Independence or the American Constitution.
SOCIAL MEDIA GRAPHICS
These graphics are used primarily for tweets on the Congressmen's personal accounts.

There is one graphic per each section of the report (a total of five sections). Each graphic includes the title of the section and a subtitle that summarizes the section. In general, each member of congress tailors their messaging to meet their district's needs throughout their term. By dividing the graphics into individual sections, the congressmen develop a unique communication strategy to fit their constituents' needs.
I developed a wide range of graphics, including direct quotes, main points, and charts to pair with the tweets I drafted. All of this fitted into the RSC's messaging strategy.
The RSC's website houses banners for every report produced. It is essentially a simplified version of the cover.
THE PRINTED REPORT
I work directly with print vendors to package the report all the way through production.
