In the month of Halloween, a spooky theme was the most appropriate to test my skills in other areas. So in the range of 9 days each day I'll present a different challenge creating diferent effects.
Day 1 - Ethereal objects. Add a transparency effect to a person or object, making it look ghost-like and ethereal. I've used a photo of mine in which I turned myself into a ghost.

Day 2 - Magical potion. Use Selection tools, Blending modes and shapes to cut out a transparent object and fill it with a magical concoction.
Day 3 - Crystal ball. Design a crystal ball that contains a mysterious scene using Transform and Warp.
Day 4 - Smoky words. Give type a glowing smoke effect using Blending Modes, Filters and the Text tool.
Day 5 - Watcher in the window. Create a shadowy window silhouette using shapes, images and textures.
Day 6 - Flickering lights. Add a flickering light effect to a haunted house using the Timeline.
Day 7 - Tombstone. Design a halloween tombstone using Bevel, Emboss and other Layer Styles.
Day 8 - Eerie skies. Make the night sky more dramatic and eerie with color adjustments and layers.
Day 9 - Hillside manor. Combine images to create a haunted hillside manor.
