Herdades São Barão hold a few countryside properties mainly intended for hunting (rabbit, quail and boar), as well as honey production and birdwatching. 

The identity had to create ties with the location of the homesteads - Mértola, Portugal. The region is mountainous and hence unique to hunt in. The logo reflects some specific characteristics: the shapes of the Mértola mosque or the inclination of the town; or in the applications, where each letterhead features a rabbit, a quail or a boar.
