2016 Cisco Olympic Hospitality Lounge
As the Official Networking Equipment and Enterprise Servers Sponsor of the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Cisco’s sponsorship objectives were to grow and protect Cisco business, improve Cisco brand awareness and perception in Brazil, and leave a lasting legacy in Brazil.

Cisco hired GMR to provide all strategic planning and on-site management for their corporate hospitality program in Rio. GMR was also selected to provide Cisco’s athlete strategy and manage athlete appearances throughout the Games.

The B2B program included eight waves of over 1,200 international guests and a day program for Brazilian guests. To ensure a high-touch experience, guests stayed on a privately chartered cruise ship, attended an Olympic event each day, visited Casa Cisco, and attended off-site meals and activities. GMR recruited, trained, and managed 56 staff to implement the on-site program.
