Problem
People facing the most problems with the NTU Shuttle Bus Service are elderly staff and visitors. Although students and staff do encounter problems, they are generally familiar enough with it to deal with them. As such, our target audience are people who seldom or have never used the service.
Mobile app prototype
Mobile app has been the most popular choice among the others, but the existing ones have lots of room to be improved in terms of aesthetics and functionality. We wanted to design a new app to have a cleaner and simpler interface, and more functional (Direction, Arrival time, Nearby search) for students and school faculty.
Bus Stop Display
With the bus stop display, we will be able to reach out to those who seldom or have never used the service. A public information display is easy to kickstart the use of the NTU Shuttle Bus Service despite not knowing of the existing mobile applications that are publicly available.
Bus Interior TV screen Display
Additionally, we will have a display screen embedded in the NTU Shuttle Bus to enhance users’ journey by indicating:
1. The current location
2. If the ‘Bus Stopping’ bell is pressed
3. Surrounding areas of the destination
