Torn!

A realistic portrait done for the love of drawing each strands of the curls because of the resultant realistic effect it gives along with the fun attached with it. Even though it looks difficult, curls are actually easier to draw than straight hair. The other thing I love about painting curls is playing with the light and texture while bringing out the waviness. 

When I was drawing this, I was going through a phase of low self-esteem and dealing with multiple identities of people, which made me add that torn texture.
