Silesian region is known for its hard working nature on industry and production for many years. Industrial space of mines, smelters and factories is something that made history in this particular region of the world. We architects find it very hard to identify the very true meaning of architecture and where does it leads us, but there is something that we all do have in common and we cannot argue that much about it: collective consciousness and its significance. Some have opinions that even this subject is so relative, it cannot be defined properly. At least we all would agree that when architectural sites or objects survive through time for so long, they earn values because they become story tellers for the next generations, they become the argument of past stories and statements of life events that occurred.

Industrial complexes and buildings that were created during years, left behind as a history of Silesian identity, express something that characterizes the very Silesian identity: Consistency and discipline.
