Tinto Branding Concept

About
Tinto is Colombian slang for black coffee, and is a coffee shop idea that my girlfriend and I have been growing over the past couple of years. It will be a small cafe in Tokyo which serves coffee from various regions in Colombia, directly and ethically sourcing from farmers. While the majority of Japan imports from Brazil or Indonesia, Tinto will aim to celebrate Colombia's rich and diverse coffee culture.
Logo
I considered using the colors of the Colombian flag, but I instead wanted to use gold to reference the gold of El Dorado and Colombia's pre-colonial wealth.
Cups
These are designs for Tinto's disposable paper cups. The design on the right takes inspiration from Colombia's mountainous geography, which is ideal for coffee farming. The dark ink will make these more expensive to print, but that will help the coffee feel more elevated. Meanwhile, the other cup will be made of recycled material to help preserve Japan's oceans, and might be used for non-coffee drinks.
Coffee Bag Packaging
Colombia has a rich and wide variety of biodiversity. This extends to not just the different flavors of coffee, but also animals that live in each region. Each type of bagged coffee will feature beans from a different region, and its packaging will feature an animal native to that region. The packaging uses the logo's gold to maintain consistency, and provide helpful information so that even newcomers to coffee can enjoy it.
