Balena is a hypothetical socially- conscious footwear brand that sells embroidered espadrilles. The thread used is made of ocean waste, thus helping in reusing plastics that would otherwise go into the ocean.

Balena's branding takes inspiration from the ocean, with images from the oceans dithered to give a vintage effect and graphic elements inspired by corals and seashells . The visual language is built on photography used along with these elements. With each purchase, we are writing a postcard to the ocean, thanking it for the resources it gives us and to send some much needed love
