Concept:
The idea behind BE cosmetics and BE bath&body is driven by our key words.  BE products are 100% natural, and organic, perfect for the new green world we are striving towards.  For my design choices, I chose to implement the photographs of Kimberly Halverson, of Studiokh. The reason I chose to use photographs to wrap the packaging is because I think it truly conveys a real feeling, as well as natural, because I don't think you can get any more natural or real than photographs of actual people, living and breathing, and using the products. I also think that the pictures lend to a modern sensibility, which is further accentuated by the geometric shapes used for the containers themselves, as well as the addition of the green line. I chose to use geometric containers to push the modern aspect, as well as create a unified visual aesthetic which is carried through all BE products. Although BE products are organic, I wanted acknowledge that fact, although I did not want it to be main selling point; instead, I wanted the products to be interesting and eye-catching to attract customers because of the quality of the product and design, and not solely based on the fact that it is "organic".
