Visual experiment based on the song O Canto dos Homens-Conto by Foge Foge Bandido. This experiment would (hypothetically) be printed as a supplement of a newspaper, in order to promote the Paredes de Coura Festival.
The visual approach was triggered by the lyrics "No alvor da madrugada/não sou coisa nem nada". The subject of the song is awake at the crack of dawn after a sleepless night, which got me thinking about the mesmerizing light patterns cast on my bedroom walls when the shutters are not fully closed. This essay slips inside the subject's mind, starting off restless, in a dark bedroom. He looks at his window, at the light patterns cast on the walls. He eventually drifts off, caught between dream and reality, finally falling asleep.
