Play with the Lightings
______________________________

Lightning is key factor of studio photography. It determines not only the brightness and darkness, but tones, moods and the atmosphere. “Painting Emotions” is the collection of photographs based on different emotions. This emotions are represented with just the colours of lights and play of expressions. The objective is to show how the slight change in lights can change the mood of a photograph.

Inspiration
______________________

For inspiration, several famous Indian and international photographers style were studied. We observed different styles and signature elements of those photographers and took a inspiration for our theme. However, our focus and main inspiration came from 'Mario Sorrenti’ - a International Fashion Photographer. We observed very beautiful and creative learning in his works. He has done several types of projects in Fashion whether its giving off a black and white vintage gist or Pop and colourful drama, one thing remains common is his play with lights. He always keeps his muse in the center of the frame. Other than the lights, we have found a sense of Art and Portraits in his photography. He create painting through his photographs. We compared his photographs and found very similarities with Realism Art. Realism depicts the thing or person in a way that is accurate and true to life. So, considering the Realism we wanted to depict something that is true to life and that’s how we came with an idea of emotions.

Painting Emotions
_______________________________

Attraction, Affection, Happiness, Pride, Obsession, Power. It tells a story of phases of feeling/ evolution of emotions in relationship. We choose to started showing the emotions in positive way then growing into something negative and dark depicting the reality of something we pretend to hide.
The painting essence is given mainly in make-over with colourful make-up and flowery decoration. The over the top hair styles that we have seen in early era portraits. Clothing had a vintage look and were all plain black as the focus was the facial expression and lights in our theme.
