In 2020 the Plum Pudding agency held a contest for creating a a set of Mary Poppins illustrations, including 2 spreads and a book cover.

These early sketches presented here were how I worked through stylistic choices and simplified and broke the characters down into readable and identifiable shapes and themes, with the kids having a more defined pair of silhouettes and mary poppins having a more fitted dress allowing for a strong differentiation in their stances and posing.
