AIB (Accident Investigation Bureau)
The Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) app was created as an eye witness tool for travellers to report real time any accident or incidence during travel. The app is an investigative tool for reporting any civil aircraft accident and serious incident arising at the aiport, in the plane or in the course of air navigation and occurring either in or over Nigeria, or occurring to Nigerian aircraft elsewhere.
The fundamental objective of the app was to design an app that improves aviation safety by creating an experienece that aggregates the circumstances and causes of air accidents and serious incidents, and providing safety recommendations intended to
prevent recurrence of similar accidents. The purpose of the reporting is not to apportion blame or liability but report the accident as a form of emergency as well as prevent future occurrence.
