Conceito
O símbolo aborda a forma e funcionamento de uma câmera escura, uma das origens da fotografia. Foi a base da invenção da câmera fotográfica no início do século XIX e consiste numa caixa com um orifício, onde a luz se propaga de maneira retilínea, atingindo o objeto a ser retratado, e depois passando pelo orifício da câmera, projetando na parede paralela, a imagem do objeto invertida.
Obs: Existem relatos anteriores ao século XIX de câmeras escuras sendo utilizadas até mesmo por Da Vinci;

Devido a todo o conceito abordado, e da luz ser provida da natureza, foi decidido o uso de proporção aurea para o desenvolvimento do símbolo, o que embasa ainda mais tudo que foi citado anteriormente;
