Chaise is a chair emulating a swing seat. The frame is fabricated from mild steel and the seat from cowhide lined with suede and is attached with braided wire. The juxtaposition of modern elements of design such as the materials and thus contrasting them with the playful design itself was highly considered. Designers such as Marcel Breuer, Mies van Der Rhoe and le Corbusier, influenced the form as well as material choices. The motto "truth to the materials" coined bt designer Henry Moore rings true within Chaise. Each material is displayed in its raw form.
