I designed the Crane logo as a simplified version of its namesake, creating a strong, distinctive brand. Circuitry, relating to the company business, was applied as a background in all company literature and media. My original Non-Elephant Encryption logo actually veiled the image of an elephant (thus being a ‘non-elephant’). When that company became public and decided to re-brand however, I chose the moebius strip to illustrate the idea of encryption, since it shows both continuity and alteration. (Software products used the same logo but were color coded and boxed.) The Pinney Rogers branding not only reflected the advantageous union of two partners, but also the coming together of the solicitors with their clients.
