This modelling project was a sub-project for my final year project at Keele University. The images were created for use in a poster which gave an overview of my dissertation.
The models were created in 3DS Max, using polygon editing, spline extrusion, and displacement mapping. The images were rendered as is using MentalRay; There was no post-processing involved.
The dissertation itself was a programming project, the result of which was an experimental game demo incorporating Nintendo's Wii Controller with a physics simulation engine called Open Dynamics Engine. The game demo explored different methods of using the Wii controller (connected to the PC via Bluetooth) and it's motion detection capabilities to control some experimental characters.
