Experience Design - Museum of Sound

The ‘Museum of sound’ was an experience design project where I learned the techniques and methods necessary to comprehend the mobility and movement of low vision visitors in transitional spaces at the Melbourne museum.

The forest gallery at the Melbourne museum was selected as the transitional space where it's current features were enhanced to facilitate the path easy to navigate through for visually impaired museum visitors.
Soundscape 01 - Morning track : The soundscape is designed using actual sounds recorded from the Forest Gallery. The clink in each time intervals resonate through the 8-speaker system guiding the low vision impaired visitor through the wooden bridge trail.

Compiled sounds include :  Metal rail-tap vibrations, Water-flow sounds (from the creek underneath the bridge), Wind hustling

Recording devices used: Contact Mic, Hydrophone, Zoom recorder

Compiled sounds include : Walking steps in gravel, Birds chirping, Wind whistling, Metal rail-tap vibrations
