THE SECOND EXTENSION OF TEATRO ALLA SCALA
The project territory is located on Largo Victor de Sabata. When designing our project we took into consideration the significance of Milan as a famous touristic destination, as well as adjusted our project to the surrounding buildings. As the building that we designed is located in a narrow street, we constructed it in a comparatively thin and pleasing to the eye and tried to create balance between the setting of the location.
Although each detail is important, the governing feature is the totality and the idea of being in balance with its surroundings. For more flexibility we designed our project like a spiral, which replaces stairs with rising ramps both inside and outside. Ramps are sloped pathways used to provide access between vertical levels. This allows for greater access of the visitors throughout the building.By using the method of spiraling ramps we tried to organize the territory more extensive and free.
