“Islets of Langerhans” takes its title as the location of where beta cells are located in the Pancreas. As a diabetic, my beta cells no longer work. Using the needles which I inject myself with on a daily basis, I create new “islets” through these used needles. I see them as infections in space – shaping and morphing upon the conditions of a room, representing the challenges which I deal and grow with on an everyday basis.
